UKONS members are invited to have free access to a variety of learning resources for health care professionals. These range from assessing your own personal needs and finding relevant training, through personalised career guidance advice, to sophisticated management training programmes. Most areas you may need to register to use, but this is free and simple to do. Please take a moment to explore this wonderful range of resources that we have been given access to. These include the:
Leadership and Management toolbox
The Leadership and Management Toolbox is a free resource bringing together the best leadership and management thinking from top business schools in a range of different media. The collection comprises everything from short video interviews with international leaders and brief book review, to academic journals, substantial learning guides and multimedia modules.
Learning and Development Self-Assessment tool
This tool uses criteria mapped against Agenda for Change, and allows you to assess your competencies in relation to both your role and career aspirations. You can save each assessment and return to it as often as you want.
Learning and Career Information area
This area aims to link professionals, who are working in cancer and palliative care services, to relevant programmes and courses across the UK to help you find the appropriate support for your specialism.
Learning and Career E-guidance area
Thinking about a course? Want to get a qualification but worried about going back into education? Macmillan advisers are available to help you make those decisions and plans, and support you whilst you learn.
